⚽ Parma Stuns Milan at San Siro as Troilo’s Late Header Ends Rossoneri’s Unbeaten Run

MILAN — In a shock result at the iconic San Siro, Parma claimed a 1–0 victory over AC Milan yesterday, leaving the Rossoneri stunned and their Serie A title aspirations in serious jeopardy. The visitors’ lone goal, a decisive header from Mariano Troilo in the 80th minute, clinched a memorable triumph and brought an end to Milan’s 24-match unbeaten league run.

From the outset, Milan dominated possession and territory, pushing high and probing Parma’s deep defensive block. The Rossoneri fashioned a host of openings but lacked the cutting edge in front of goal — Rafael Leão hit the post in the second half and Christian Pulisic was denied on multiple occasions — leaving San Siro increasingly frustrated.

Parma, well organised under coach Carlos Cuesta, absorbed sustained pressure and looked dangerous on the break. Their persistence paid off when Troilo rose to meet a corner, guiding his header beyond Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan. Although initially ruled out for an alleged foul, a VAR review upheld the effort, sparking jubilant celebrations among the travelling supporters.

The result marks a rare road victory for the Crociati and a bitter night for Milan, who had created the lion’s share of the chances but could not convert. Assistant coach Marco Landucci lamented his side’s misfortune after the match, citing missed opportunities and stubborn Parma defending, insisting “the ball just didn’t want to go in.”

Milan now sit 10 points behind leaders Inter Milan, with their hopes of a first Scudetto in years fading rapidly. Parma, meanwhile, climb into mid-table territory and will take confidence from a performance that combined discipline with opportunism.

Looking ahead, Milan must rebuild quickly if they are to salvage a Champions League qualification push, while Parma will hope to use this landmark victory as momentum in the second half of the season.

⚽ AC Milan Held by Como as Allegri Sees Red!

AC Milan were forced to settle for a 1‑1 draw against Como in Serie A, a result overshadowed by the dismissal of coach Massimiliano Allegri. The Rossoneri, chasing leaders Inter, dropped valuable points at San Siro in a tense encounter that saw tempers flare both on and off the pitch.

First Half

Nico Paz put Como ahead in the 32nd minute, capitalizing on a mistake from Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan.

Second Half

Rafael Leão equalized in the 64th minute with a well‑taken finish, assisted by Ardon Jashari.

The game grew increasingly heated in the second half, with referee Maurizio Mariani sending off Allegri—his third red card of the season—as well as a member of Cesc Fàbregas’ coaching staff.

The draw leaves AC Milan seven points behind Inter in the title race, despite remaining unbeaten in 24 matches this season.

⚽ AC Milan secures victory at Pisa

AC Milan secured a hard‑fought 2‑1 victory away to Pisa at the Arena Garibaldi on Friday night. Ruben Loftus‑Cheek opened the scoring in the first half with a header, before Pisa equalised through Felipe Loyola midway through the second half.

Just as the hosts looked set to claim a valuable point, veteran Luka Modrić produced a moment of class in the 85th minute, chipping the goalkeeper to seal all three points for the Rossoneri.

The win keeps Milan firmly in the Serie A title race under Massimiliano Allegri, extending their unbeaten run and closing the gap on leaders Inter. Pisa, meanwhile, remain in the relegation zone despite a spirited performance.

⚽ Serie A at the turn of the Year

Inter lead the Charge as Milan, Napoli, and Roma keep the Pressure On

The final matchdays of 2025 have drawn a sharp line through Serie A, separating the contenders from the hopefuls and giving the new year a table that feels both familiar and quietly revolutionary.

Inter reach January as league leaders, Milan breathe down their necks, Napoli refuse to fade, and Roma — turbulent yet resilient — remain firmly in the Champions League frame. Juventus, meanwhile, lurk just behind, steady rather than spectacular, but still close enough to matter.

Inter’s position at the top is no accident

Cristian Chivu's side have collected 36 points from 16 matches, winning twelve and losing four, with a goal difference of +21 — the best in the league.

Their December run, capped by a gritty 1–0 win away at Atalanta and a controlled 2–1 victory over Genoa, has reinforced the sense that Inter are the most complete team in Italy: balanced, ruthless, and capable of winning even when the football isn’t flowing.

Just one point behind sit AC Milan, who close the year on 35 points, unbeaten in their last five and playing with a maturity that has often eluded them in recent seasons.

Their 3–0 dismantling of Hellas Verona showed both sides of this Milan: expressive when allowed, disciplined when required.

Massimiliano Allegri'squad may not have Inter’s depth, but they have momentum — and momentum is a currency that matters in January.

Napoli, third with 34 points, remain the league’s great paradox. Brilliant one week, brittle the next, they ended December with a commanding 2–0 win over Cremonese and a narrow defeat to Udinese.

Their attack remains among the sharpest in Italy, but the defensive lapses that cost them points early in the season still linger. If they can tighten the back line, they are capable of pushing the Milanese duopoly all the way.

Roma, in fourth on 33 points, are the most volatile of the contenders. Their December was a microcosm of their season: a 3–1 win over Genoa, a narrow loss to Juventus.

They are a team that rarely wins easily, rarely loses quietly, and never stops fighting. Whether that chaos becomes a strength or a burden will define their spring.

Behind them, Juventus sit fifth with 32 points, quietly rebuilding under pressure. Their late‑December wins over Pisa and Roma showed a team rediscovering its defensive identity, even if the attacking fluency remains inconsistent.

They are not the Juventus of old — not yet — but they are close enough to the top four to make life uncomfortable for everyone above them.

Como, newly promoted and sitting sixth with 27 points, have become the romantic surprise of the season. Cesc Fàbregas has instilled a winning mentality, recruited smartly and built a squad that believes in itself.

See below articles on the rise of his team and star player Nico Paz

At the other end, Fiorentina’s collapse is the shock of the campaign. With just 9 points from 17 matches, they close the year bottom of the table, behind Pisa, Verona, and Genoa. A club that once flirted with Europe now finds itself staring at relegation.

The title race is alive. The top four is a battlefield. The relegation fight is already brutal. Italy’s top flight enters 2026 with a sense of drama that feels perfectly, unmistakably Serie A.

⚽ Pulisic Strikes, Maignan Saves: Milan’s Tactical Masterclass in the Derby della Madonnina

AC Milan edged Inter 1–0 in the Derby della Madonnina thanks to Christian Pulisic’s decisive strike and Mike Maignan’s penalty save.

The victory was built on tactical discipline, calculated risk-taking, and a coach’s clear vision.

⚽ Match Dynamics

Milan ceded possession (only 36%) but stayed organized in a mid-to-low block, forcing Inter wide and limiting central penetration.

The Rossoneri relied on quick counters, with Rafael Leão and Pulisic stretching Inter’s backline. The winning goal came from a fast break, exploiting space behind Federico Dimarco.

Maignan’s penalty save from Hakan Çalhanoğlu in the 74th minute was pivotal, preserving Milan’s lead and deflating Inter’s momentum.

Luka Modrić and Youssouf Fofana provided composure and defensive cover, while Adrien Rabiot’s energy disrupted Inter’s buildup.

Coach’s Thought Process (Massimiliano Allegri)

Allegri’s tactical blueprint was pragmatic yet bold:

He accepted Inter’s dominance in possession, prioritizing defensive solidity and trusting Maignan to handle high-pressure moments.

Replacing Leão with Loftus-Cheek late on signaled a shift toward reinforcing midfield control rather than chasing a second goal.

Allegri emphasized resilience, reminding players that derbies are won by moments, not by possession stats. His calmness after the VAR penalty decision steadied the team.

He instructed Pulisic to attack the left channel, exploiting Dimarco’s advanced positioning. The goal was a direct result of this tactical cue.

⚽ Tactical Takeaway

Milan’s victory was not about dominating the ball but about maximizing efficiency in decisive moments. Allegri’s thought process revolved around trusting defensive structure, exploiting transitions, and instilling psychological composure.

Pulisic’s clinical finish and Maignan’s penalty heroics embodied this philosophy.

⚽ Napoli’s Wide Brilliance: Neres and Lang Dismantle Atalanta in 3–1 Victory!

Napoli defeated Atalanta 3–1 on 22 November 2025, with David Neres scoring twice and assisting Noa Lang, while Gianluca Scamacca pulled one back for Atalanta. Napoli’s tactical discipline, sharp transitions, and wide overloads proved decisive.

Tactical Breakdown

Antonio Conte set Napoli up in a 4-3-3 that morphed into a 2-3-5 in possession. The wingers, Neres and Lang, stayed high and wide, stretching Atalanta’s back line. This created vertical lanes for Scott McTominay and Frank Anguissa to exploit with forward passes.

Neres’ brace came from exploiting Atalanta’s high defensive line. His first goal (17’) was a classic diagonal run behind the full-back, while his second (38’) followed a quick combination with McTominay. His assist for Lang (45’) showed Napoli’s emphasis on wide service and aerial threat.

Napoli’s trio of Anguissa, McTominay, and Lobotka dictated tempo. They alternated between short circulation and vertical progression, forcing Atalanta’s midfield to chase shadows. This control allowed Napoli to absorb pressure and launch incisive counters.

Atalanta’s pressing issues

Raffaele Palladino’s side pressed aggressively in a 3-4-1-2, but their spacing was inconsistent. Napoli bypassed the press with diagonal switches, leaving Atalanta exposed in transition. Scamacca’s goal (52’) came from a rare moment when Atalanta successfully pinned Napoli deep.

Napoli’s back four stayed compact, with Di Lorenzo and Olivera narrowing to protect the half-spaces. This limited Ademola Lookman’s influence, forcing Atalanta to rely on crosses rather than penetrative runs.

⚽ Key Takeaways

Napoli overcame Atalanta by combining clinical wide play, midfield control, and defensive compactness. Neres’ brilliance and Conte’s tactical clarity ensured a statement win that pushed Napoli to the top of Serie A

⚽ Luciano Spalletti takes charge at Juventus. Can he revive the Bianconeri’s season!

Juventus have made a bold managerial pivot, sacking Igor Tudor after an eight-game winless streak and appointing Luciano Spalletti—the veteran tactician who led Napoli to a historic Scudetto in 2023. With the club languishing in 7th place, six points off the summit, Spalletti’s arrival signals both urgency and ambition.

Why Tudor Was Let Go

Juventus suffered three straight defeats, including a 1–0 loss to Lazio that proved the final straw.

The team failed to score in four consecutive matches, a drought not seen since 1991.

Despite a promising start last season, Tudor’s side lacked consistency and attacking fluidity, leading to mounting pressure from fans and management.

Spalletti’s Profile: Tactical Vision and Proven Pedigree

In his place steps Luciano Spalletti, the seasoned tactician who guided Napoli to a historic Scudetto in 2023. Known for his cerebral approach and fluid attacking systems, Spalletti arrives in Turin with a reputation for transforming squads and instilling a winning mentality. His appointment signals a shift in Juventus’s strategic direction—away from reactive football and toward a more proactive, possession-driven style.

What Changes to Expect

Spalletti inherits a squad with talent but tactical disarray. His immediate goals will be to reignite the attack. Expect a shift to fluid front-three systems.

Spalletti favors technical midfielders and youth integration. The new coach may lean on emerging players like Kenan Yıldız and Fabio Miretti.

The new coach shakes the hand of defender Gleison Bremer.

Verdict: A Calculated Gamble

Juventus have opted for experience and vision over short-term fixes. Spalletti’s arrival is a statement of intent—a desire to restore identity, competitiveness, and silverware.

If he can stabilize the dressing room and implement his philosophy quickly, the Bianconeri may yet turn their season around.

⚽ Cesc Fàbregas and the Como Revolution: A Tactical Mastermind and the Rise of Nico Paz!

In the shadow of Lake Como, a footballing renaissance is unfolding — and at its heart stands Cesc Fàbregas. The former Spain international, once the metronome of Arsenal and Barcelona, is now orchestrating a symphony of ambition and belief as head coach of Como 1907. His latest masterpiece? A historic 2–0 victory over Juventus that not only stunned Serie A but also spotlighted the brilliance of 21-year-old Nico Paz.

From Midfield Maestro to Managerial Architect

Appointed in 2023, Fàbregas inherited a club with ambition but little pedigree. Within two seasons, he’s transformed Como into a tactically disciplined, emotionally charged unit capable of challenging Italy’s elite. His philosophy blends positional play with vertical aggression — a hybrid of Spanish control and Italian pragmatism.

Mentor and friend, Arsene Wenger & Thierry Henry watch with great interest

Despite being suspended for the Juventus clash, Fàbregas’ fingerprints were all over the win. Como pressed intelligently, transitioned with precision, and defended with collective grit. Assistant Dani Guindos executed the plan, but the blueprint was pure Fàbregas.

“From there, you watch football very easily, but what you did was very difficult,” Fàbregas told his players in a viral post-match speech. “I’m so proud of you. Thank you so much, let’s keep going!”

Como 2–0 Juventus: A Statement Victory

On October 19, 2025, Como hosted Juventus at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia. The visitors arrived unbeaten but unconvincing, and Como seized the moment. In the 4th minute, Nico Paz delivered a pinpoint cross from a rehearsed corner routine, allowing Marc-Oliver Kempf to stab home the opener.

Juventus struggled to respond. Their midfield was stifled, their attack blunted. Then, in the 79th minute, Paz turned provider into finisher — racing down the right flank, cutting inside Andrea Cambiaso, and curling a sublime shot past Michele Di Gregorio. It was Como’s first win over Juventus since 1952.

Nico Paz: The Revelation of Serie A

Signed from Real Madrid in 2024 under a complex deal with a buy-back clause, Nico Paz has become the heartbeat of Como’s attack. With 4 goals and 4 assists in 7 matches, the Argentine international is Serie A’s breakout star.

“He can go wherever he wants to go,” Fàbregas told DAZN. “He just needs to stay humble and maintain his work ethic because the talent and physical presence are there”.

Paz’s performance against Juventus was a masterclass in timing, technique, and temperament. He outshone fellow rising star Kenan Yildiz, earning a match rating of 7.5 and praise from pundits across Italy.

🔥 The Fabregas Effect

Como’s rise isn’t just tactical — it’s cultural. Fàbregas has instilled a winning mentality, recruited smartly (including Alvaro Morata and Jesús Rodríguez), and built a squad that believes in itself. His confrontation with Juventus coach Igor Tudor — who called Como a “fake small club” — only added fuel to the fire.

“Tudor must always win with Juventus, while we have a different reality,” Fàbregas replied. “But we’re building something real”.

What’s Next?

With momentum on their side and belief in their boots, Como are no longer Serie A’s romantic underdog — they’re a genuine contender. Fàbregas’ tactical evolution and Paz’s emergence could define the season. And if the project continues to flourish, Como may soon be more than a lakeside story — they could be a European one.

⚽ Christian Pulisic: The American Star Who Refused to Wait!

Christian Pulisic didn’t wait for American soccer to build a pedestal—he built his own. From Dortmund’s yellow wall to Chelsea’s European glory and now Milan’s renaissance, he’s carved a path defined by courage, resilience, and brilliance.

A Talent That Outgrew Borders

Before he was “Captain America,” Christian Pulisic was just a kid from Hershey, Pennsylvania, with a ball at his feet and a dream too big for his hometown. He didn’t wait for American soccer to catch up—he went where the game was fastest, fiercest, and most unforgiving.

At just 16, he left behind comfort and familiarity to join Borussia Dortmund’s academy in Germany. Within months, he was training with the first team. Within a year, he was scoring in the Bundesliga.

Pulisic didn’t just break barriers—he sprinted through them.

Club Career: A Journey of Bold Moves

Borussia Dortmund (2015–2019)

In Dortmund, Pulisic matured in the crucible of European football. He became the youngest non-German to score in the Bundesliga and quickly earned a reputation for his fearless dribbling and tactical intelligence. By 19, he had already played in the Champions League, won the DFB-Pokal, and become a symbol of American promise abroad.

Chelsea FC (2019–2023)

His €64 million move to Chelsea was historic—the most expensive American transfer ever. In London, Pulisic delivered moments of brilliance: a hat-trick against Burnley, a semi-final goal against Real Madrid, and a key role in Chelsea’s 2021 Champions League triumph. But injuries and rotation often interrupted his rhythm, leaving fans wondering what might have been if he’d had a consistent run.

AC Milan (2023–Present)

In Milan, Pulisic found clarity. Under Stefano Pioli, he’s been deployed as a right-sided attacker with freedom to drift centrally. His combination play with Rafael Leão and Tijjani Reijnders has added fluidity to Milan’s attack. With 9 goals and 7 assists already this season, he’s not just thriving—he’s leading.

National Team: The Face of a New Era

For the U.S. Men’s National Team, Pulisic is more than a star—he’s a symbol. With over 65 caps and 25 goals, he’s led the team through World Cup qualifiers, CONCACAF titles, and a generational shift toward youth and ambition. His goal against Iran in the 2022 World Cup was emblematic: brave, decisive, and clutch.

“He’s not just our best player—he’s our heartbeat,” said coach Gregg Berhalter.

Playing Style: Precision in Motion

Dribbling: Slaloms through tight spaces with balance and control

Acceleration: Explosive first step that breaks defensive lines

Versatility: Can operate as winger, playmaker, or inverted forward

Mentality: Fiercely competitive, thrives in high-pressure moments

At Milan, Pulisic has evolved. He’s less reliant on raw pace, more focused on timing, positioning, and link-up play. His maturity is evident in his decision-making and defensive work rate—traits that make him indispensable in Pioli’s system.

Legacy in the Making

Still only 27, he’s entering his prime with the hunger of a player who knows his story is far from finished.

⚽ Serie A 2025–26 : Milan Edge Bologna as Napoli Stay Perfect !

Matchday 3 of the 2025–26 Serie A season delivered drama, tactical intrigue, and a few standout performances across Italy’s top flight. From Naples to Milan, clubs continued to shape their early-season narratives — none more so than AC Milan, who secured a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Bologna at the San Siro.

AC Milan 1–0 Bologna: Luka Modrić Delivers in Tight Contest

In a tense affair at the Giuseppe Meazza, Luka Modrić proved decisive, scoring the only goal of the match in the 61st minute to give AC Milan their second win of the season. The Croatian veteran, now 39, latched onto a loose ball at the edge of the box and curled it past Lukasz Skorupski with trademark precision.

Despite Bologna dominating possession (60% to Milan’s 40%), they struggled to break down a disciplined Milan backline. Fikayo Tomori, Pervis Estupiñán, and Alexis Saelemaekers all picked up yellow cards in a physical first half1, but Milan held firm.

The match also carried emotional weight, as Adrien Rabiot made his first home appearance since joining from Marseille, facing off against former teammate Jonathan Rowe, now at Bologna — a subplot that added tension to an already charged encounter.

There were no fireworks between these two

Napoli Stay Perfect

This past weekend, Napoli defeated Fiorentina 3–1 at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Florence. It was a commanding performance from the reigning champions, who remain unbeaten after three matches.

Derby d’Italia Delivers Drama: Juventus 4–3 Inter

⚽ Kevin De Bruyne rejoint Naples : Un nouveau chapitre s'ouvre !
